You can actually make your own shoelaces using the fur you find in your dog or cat's pet brush!

The cost?

$6 to $12... depending on whether you want them to be "woven" (which are stronger) or crocheted (which are prettier).

The standard length is 10 inches, if you want longer than that, just add $1 per each additional inch.
